Join the collective Chicagoland Classics departments for a reading of Aeschylus’ Oresteia in translation. Hosted by the UIC department of Classics and Mediterranean Studies, these readings will take place over a three week time span (see schedule below) where each week we tackle one of the plays from the trilogy. Following these readings will be a lively seminar where we discuss these plays in relation to the theme of our event: Justice.

If you’d like to be a part of these stimulating readings this link provides all of the information you’ll need: https://bit.ly/3sOHq0i! where parts are divided into lines in case you’d like to participate but don’t want to commit to an entire role! Instructions for signing up are at the top of the document. Participation is not mandatory but definitely encouraged; Plus you’ll get a super cool T-shirt in the mail for reading!

Contact Grace Li at gli39@uic.edu, the student coordinator for this event or Dr. Krishni Burns at ksburns@uic.edu for any further questions. On behalf of the Chicagoland Classics departments, we hope to see you all there!
