Weber and Thornton-Hoselton awarded Open Textbook Faculty Incentive Program
Elizabeth Dolly Weber and Jessica Thornton-Hoselton of the Department of French and Francophone Studies were recently named awardees of the Open Textbook Faculty Incentive Program. This program encourages faculty to use and develop open educational resources (OER) as alternatives to traditional textbooks for undergraduate courses by providing monetary support for adopting open textbooks and other open education resources, modifying open textbooks and creating new open access supplemental material.
Dr. Weber and Ms. Thornton-Hoselton will use the funds they were awarded to modify and adopt OER resources for use in French 104 at UIC beginning in Fall 2021.
