Kara Morgan-Short and Kim Potowski to give plenaries at ITBE 2020

Kara Morgan-Short and Kim Potowski, both Professors of Hispanic Linguistics, will be plenary speakers at the upcoming annual convention of the Illinois Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages - Bilingual Education (ITBE). The convention, to be held Feb. 28 and 29 in Lisle, brings together teachers, students, administrators, researchers, curriculum developers, tutors, volunteers, parents, consultants, editors and other interested individuals from across the state to discuss issues of language education.

Prof. Potowski will present a session entitled "No child left monolingual: The benefits of dual language education" while Prof. Morgan-Short will present "It’s electric! What we know about language learning from brain research."
