Markowski Honored With Bench in Krakow
The city of Kraków has honored Michał Paweł Markowski, Professor and Head of Polish Studies, with a dedicated bench in the city park surrounding the center of Krakow, to emphasize his contributions to the literary life of the city. The QR code on the bench leads to a short bio and a short essay by Prof. Markowski. He shares this honor with fellow Polish writers like Nobel Prize laureates in literature, Czesław Milosz, Wisława Szymborska, Olga Tokarczuk and others.
