Chinese Minor and French and Francophone Studies MA Win Fulbright Awards
Introduction
Ciat Conlin, graduate of the MA in French and Francophone Studies, and Craig Rykowski, minor in the Chinese program, were awarded Fulbright English Teaching Awards.
Ciat graduated from UIC in 2022 with an MA in French and Francophone Studies. He will be teaching at the Stanislaw Staszic State University of Applied Sciences in Piła, Poland.
Craig graduated from UIC in May 2026 with a bachelor's degree in political science and minors in Chinese and Public Policy. This fall, he will spend a year teaching English in Taichung, Taiwan, while also learning more about Taiwanese culture and sharing American culture with his students.
