Dr. Cristina Sanz (Georgetown University)
Dr. Sanz is Professor of Spanish & Linguistics at Georgetown University. An expert on multilingualism, her edited volume Mind and Context in Adult SLA received the 2006 MLA’s Mildenberger Award. Dr. Viorica Marian (Northwestern University)
Marian is a Ralph and Jean Sundin Endowed Professor at the Northwestern University. Dr. Marian research interests include bilingualism/multilingualism and the brain’s ability to accommodate multiple languages at the same time. She studies the relationship between language and memory, as well as how people process spoken and written language.
